Hand dyed with walnut hulls, these soft earthy tones are gifted by Mother Nature and made for little hands to hold and love.

This one-of-a-kind Waldorf-inspired comfort lovie is lovingly slow-crafted using quality materials and durable stitching, designed to last through years of hugs, cuddles, and tea parties. Each doll’s cheeks are hand-blushed with natural beeswax, creating a soft rosy glow that may gently fade over time. You can easily refresh the color using tinted beeswax crayons such as Stockmar.

The fabric is hand dyed by me using walnut hulls — no chemicals, just nature’s beautiful colors.

Details:
• Body: 100% organic cotton velour, naturally hand dyed with walnut hulls
• Doll size: approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (to top of hat)
• Doll face: 100% organic cotton imported from and made in the European Union. Oeko-Tex certified, free of harmful chemicals
• Filling: 100% wool

Each doll will arrive carefully packaged in a muslin bag and shipped in a sturdy cardboard box.

Care Instructions:
If your doll becomes dirty, spot cleaning with a gentle wool-friendly soap is recommended. If a full bath is needed:

• Add a small amount of wool detergent to lukewarm water
• Let the doll soak for about 15 minutes
• Rinse briefly with clean water
• Gently squeeze out excess water using a clean towel — do not twist
• Reshape the head and body if needed
• Lay flat on a dry towel and allow to air dry
• A fan or cool hair dryer may help speed up drying

To refresh the cheeks, rub tinted beeswax crayons onto a cloth, then gently apply color to the cheeks in circular motions.

Occasionally placing the doll outdoors in sunshine is a lovely natural way to freshen and sanitize it.

Due to the handmade nature of each doll, slight variations make every piece beautifully unique. All La Lovie dolls are handcrafted by Irene in her Pasadena, California studio with love and attention to every detail. Each doll takes approximately 3 hours to create.
