Handcrafted from nature's finest fibers, each Tomato Baby is thoughtfully made to become a cherished companion, a meaningful gift, or an heirloom keepsake to treasure for years to come. Every Tomato Baby is lovingly handcrafted by Irene in her Pasadena, California studio. Each doll's rosy cheeks are blushed by hand using natural beeswax, creating a soft glow that will gently fade with time. The color can easily be refreshed using a tinted beeswax crayon, such as Stockmar.

Each Tomato Baby arrives tucked inside a reusable muslin bag and is carefully packaged in a sturdy cardboard box.
Care Instructions
If your doll becomes dirty, spot clean with a small amount of wool-friendly soap whenever possible. If a full bath is needed:
- Add a small amount of wool detergent to lukewarm water.
- Soak the doll for about 15 minutes.
- Rinse briefly with clean water.
- Gently press out excess water with a clean towel—do not twist or wring.
- Reshape the head and body if needed.
- Lay flat on a dry towel and allow to air dry. A fan or cool hair dryer may help speed up drying.
To refresh the rosy cheeks, rub a tinted beeswax block crayon onto a soft cloth, then gently apply the color in circular motions.
Every now and then, let your doll enjoy a little sunshine—nature's gentle way of keeping wool fresh.
Because every La Lovie doll is handmade, each one has its own unique personality. Each Tomato Baby is handcrafted by Irene in her Pasadena, California studio and takes approximately 2 hours to complete.
